Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE), commonly known as Ezeiza, is the main gate for travelers entering Argentina. After landing at EZE dozens of times—most recently in April 2026—I have personally tested every transport method to the city center. Whether you are looking for a safe private transfer or the budget “Colectivo,” here is the current, first-hand data on the best ways to reach Buenos Aires.

Official Taxi $40 – $45 45-60 min Last-minute arrival

1. Private Airport Transfer: The Safest Way

After landing in Buenos Aires more times than I can count, I still choose a private transfer. A driver meets you at Terminal A with a sign, tracks your flight for delays, and takes you directly to your hotel. In 2026, the price difference between a private car and a taxi is small ($5-$10), making the extra comfort and safety 100% worth it.

2. Official Taxis from Ezeiza

You will find official taxi booths (Taxi Ezeiza and Taxi CABA) inside the arrivals hall. Never accept a ride from someone standing in the hall; always pay or book at the official stand. Prices in 2026 are approximately $45 USD. Note that while some kiosks offer a “fixed price,” others use the meter, so ask for an estimate before you leave the counter.

3. Uber or Cabify

Uber and Cabify are popular and legal at Ezeiza. You will need the airport Wi-Fi to order your ride. The Challenge: There is no dedicated lane for ride-sharing apps, so you often have to meet your driver in the outer parking lots. Be ready to walk 5-8 minutes with your luggage to find your car. Take a “comfort” level car. Avoid using priority cars, as I find that there is often something wrong with the cars (seatsbelts not working, etc).

Or get an eSIM before landing in Argentina, to get connected directly with your Uber of Cabify driver. I wrote an article here with my recommendations.

4. The Shuttle Bus: NEO Bus & Tienda León

If you are traveling solo, the NEO Bus is the newest and most efficient shuttle service ($9 USD). It runs frequently and is much faster than the public bus. Alternatively, Tienda León remains the classic shuttle option with a terminal in Puerto Madero.

5. Public Transport (Bus Line 8)

Line 8 (Semi-Rapido) is the cheapest way to reach Plaza de Mayo. You need a SUBE card to ride. While there is a kiosk in Terminal A to buy one, they are often out of stock. I only recommend this if you have very little luggage and are not in a hurry, as the trip can take over 2 hours in traffic.

💰 Local Tip: Currency Exchange at EZE

Do not exchange all your money at the airport! The rates at Ezeiza are significantly worse than in the city. If you must, change only enough for your transport at the Banco Nación in the arrivals hall. For everything else, wait until you are in the city to use the “blue rate” rate or visit a casa de cambio to get the best value for your USD or Euro.
