Do you want to discover Buenos Aires by bike? With more than 130km of bike lanes, it’s one of the best ways to discover Buenos Aires. However, keep your eyes open for the ongoing traffic. I suggest wearing a helmet at all times.

How to register for the EcoBici in Buenos Aires?

Online will be the easiest way,  but often not the fastest way to get it. Here is the link to start the registration and download the app on your phone. Take your passport and your credit card. Follow the steps on the webpage or mobile phone application.

Price for the EcoBici

From Monday to Friday, you can drive around the city for 30 minutes per ride for free. If you want to bike a bit more you can buy a pass for 45 minutes. The price is 0,15 USD.

Another interesting option is the tourist pass. I recommend taking the 1 day pass for 10 USD. Each ride can take up to 90 minutes.

In the weekend there are no free passes available.

Other ways to discover Buenos Aires?

In and around the city you can find bike rental services. As a tourist, it’s the easiest way to get on some wheels. Or even go on a guided bike tour. A nice way to discover the city.

You can also hop-on and hop-off on the Buenos Aires Sightseeing bus. We went to test the bus. Read here my review.

At this moment there are no helicopter services in Buenos Aires.
